Unknown Worlds outlines three key areas for improvement when it comes to Subnautica 2

Following a successful launch, Subnautica 2 is now fully underway in Early Access. New content will be added regularly, and improvements are also planned.

In an article published on its website, Unknown Worlds outlined the three main areas of focus for its work based on player feedback. The studio aims to improve encounters with the game’s creatures by optimizing their behavior, the range of their aggro, and the effectiveness of defensive items. Currently, encountering a predator can be frustrating, as protective tools aren’t always reliable or clear to use.

Next, the developers say they hear and understand players who would like to fight these dangerous creatures more head-on. However, the Subnautica franchise is primarily based on survival, exploration, and vulnerability. So don’t expect access to weapons that would upset the game’s balance.

Finally, the studio wants to listen to the community and collaborate with it in order to implement the requested changes. Unknown Worlds acknowledges that it hasn’t been open enough to its fans’ suggestions lately. Decisions made will now be explained and communicated more clearly.

Subnautica 2 will be getting several improvements in the coming weeks.
