Ubisoft requires its future employees to be able to use gen-AI tools

Like many publishers before it, Ubisoft uses generative artificial intelligence in its game development process. Now, the French company is requiring job applicants to have in-depth knowledge in this field.

Indeed, as noted by the website Tech4Gamers, Ubisoft is seeking a Technical Art Director for an unannounced AAA project. The candidate must be proficient in AI tools such as ComfyUI, MidJourney, NanoBanana, and Hunyuan. References to Copilot and ChatGPT also appear in this job posting.

A similar position at Ubisoft Paris has also been posted. This time, the job description is even clearer.

“By joining us in this role, youโ€™ll be part of a multidisciplinary team (data, programming, game and narrative design, animation, etc.) guided by a simple yet ambitious question: among all the possibilities offered by generative AI, which ones are truly interesting and fun for gameplay?”

In other words, Ubisoft is set to make heavy use of AI in its upcoming games.
