Ubisoft may bring back the original music for Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition

Although we got Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition to celebrate the legendary first installment, this edition has yet to entirely win over fans. There’s been quite some criticism levelled at the reworked soundtrack.

In addition to including five different versions of the game, 120 new levels, and the SNES prototype, Ubisoft had the music reorchestrated. Many players regret not being able to switch back to the original melodies. In a message posted on Discord, the French publisher acknowledged this request.

A developer acknowledged that players “feel that the new version does not recreate the original atmosphere and that all these changes bother them”. He added that “the team concerned will look into the matter”, taking into account “the suggestion to add an option to listen to the old soundtrack again”. An update could therefore be rolled out soon.
