No one will be surprised to learn that Ubisoft is going through an extremely difficult period. The publisher has canceled several projects, experienced plenty of delays, and suffered several major commercial setbacks.
As a result, the results for the most recent fiscal year (ending March 31, 2026) are very poor, with a record operating loss of €1.3 billion. The French company’s net bookings fell by 17.4% to €1.53 billion. A sales decline of around 8% to 9% is expected for the 2026–2027 fiscal year. A return to profitability is projected for the 2027–2028 period.
Finally, in an effort to cut costs during the recently concluded fiscal year, Ubisoft eliminated approximately 1,200 positions and €118 million in fixed costs. Suffice it to say that the coming months will be crucial for the company’s future.
