Long rumored by various insiders, certain Ubisoft projects have been briefly confirmed by Yves Guillemot. The CEO gave an interview to Variety in which he discussed the company’s major restructuring.
During the interview, Guillemot revealed that two games in the Far Cry franchise are in development. These are likely to be Far Cry 7 and a title focused on a multiplayer experience. Of course, another well-known franchise will also see multiple releases in the coming months.
The president of Ubisoft has also confirmed that several episodes of Assassin’s Creed are in production. These include both single-player and online games. It’s also worth noting that a remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is in the works, as are Assassin’s Creed: Codename Hexe and a multiplayer game similar in concept to Fall Guys.
Finally, Yves Guillemot added that the recent release of Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition is only the first step in the saga’s comeback.
