Speaking of unexpected news, this one is pretty good.
Just announced on social media, Ubisoft has acquired the development team behind March of Giants, a new MOBA created by Amazon Games Montreal. It has thus acquired the rights to the project and integrated the entire studio into the Ubisoft structure. The team will join a future internal structure called “creative house,” and Amazon will continue to assist Ubisoft with promoting the game on Twitch.
This move also marks the return of Xavier Marquis, the original creative director of Rainbow Six Siege, to Ubisoft six years after his departure, as well as that of Alexandre Parizeau, another former Ubisoft executive.
