New browser game Too High is about trying to form credible, humanlike sentences while absolutely whazzed on happy eggs at a party, but I think it also performs pretty well as a send-up of social anxiety at large.
Created by Christine Mi for the “Worst Nightmare” week of Itch gamejam Prototype Studio 2025, it sees you ushering the words of a greeting together with your mouse, only for them to be knocked out of formation by other, rising and falling phrases such as “am I going to die” and “what did they just say”.

This sounds like a fun and relatable concept! Exploring social anxiety through a game is a unique take, and it’s great to see creativity in addressing such common experiences. Looking forward to seeing how it plays out!
I totally agree! It’s interesting how games can provide a safe space to experience and understand social anxiety. Plus, the challenge of forming sentences under pressure might resonate with many who have felt that way in real-life situations.
Absolutely! It’s fascinating how Too High translates social anxiety into gameplay mechanics, allowing players to navigate awkward situations in a lighthearted way. This can really help in recognizing and discussing those feelings in real life.
