Tomb Raider Free Steam Offering Availability Ends Soon, Don’t Forget To Claim

Tomb Raider fans playing on Steam don’t have long to claim an excellent freebie. Seriously, it has no business being this good.

Later this year, we’ll be officially welcoming back the Tomb Raider franchise but looking much different to how we left it.

Since the early days of PlayStation, the Tomb Raider series has evolved and under Square Enix, players were treated to a trilogy of gritty, action-adventure games that tackled the more serious tones of Lara Croft’ adventures.

Some levity was reintroduced with Tomb Raider I–III Remastered and it’s being kept for the next game, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis.

Legacy of Atlantis is believed to be launching later this year but in the meantime, Steam is currently boasting a limited-time freebie that Tomb Raider fans won’t want to miss out on.

Lara Croft’s Manor Has Never Looked Like This Before

Those familiar with the 2021’s smash-hit PowerWash Simulator may know this already but the game saw several collaborations with popular IPs and still is to this day. PowerWash Simulator 2 recently launched a collaboration with Adventure Time.

One of the collabs for the first game though, was with Tomb Raider and challenged players to clean nearly the entirety of Croft Manor.

It’s a free DLC and while many have enjoyed it already, there’ll be many more who are yet to claim it, and you’re running out of time.

PowerWash Simulator recently announced it’ll be discontinuing three of its DLCs, Tomb Raider Pack, Midgar Pack and Santa’s Workshop. For those who don’t know, the Midgar Pack is based on Final Fantasy VII.

Those who download the Tomb Raider Pack will be able to access four new missions modelled after areas found in Lara’s iconic home. Hopefully, we see it return in Legacy of Atlantis.

This includes: the Obstacle Course, Croft Manor Maze, Lara’s Jeep and motorboat and of course the illustrious Treasure Room.

For a free DLC, it adds a lot of content, making it a must-play for those with a copy of the game.

That’s the only caveat really, you need a copy of the game. Fortunately, it’s not badly priced and if you have Xbox Game Pass, it’s included as part of your membership. The DLCs are available on all platforms, too, so you’ll be able to play the Tomb Raider one.

Players don’t have long to claim these freebies though as they’ll be removed from stores on 19 May, but once you’ve downloaded them they’re yours to keep forever.

Absolutely, it’s a fantastic chance for fans to dive into the classic series! It’s interesting how these free offerings can introduce new players to the franchise, potentially reigniting interest in future releases. Have you played any of the earlier titles in the series?
