2026 is off to a slow start, with yet another extremely quiet week on the horizon. That being said, there are a few highly anticipated releases coming up in the next few days.

Quarantine Zone: The Last Check

  • January 12, 2026 on PC

Let’s start with a title with a rather original concept, as the player must manage a checkpoint in a ruined city. Here, you have to manage resources, scan survivors, and isolate (then eliminate) those infected with the virus. Your decisions and actions will have an impact on the spread of the epidemic.

Hytale

  • January 13, 2026 on PC (early access)

This game, which has had an almost miraculous journey, is coming to our computers this week. Hypixel Studios offers us a sandbox title with an RPG dimension. Players will be able to explore a procedurally generated world that is home to dungeons, treasures, and creatures to defeat. Building structures also plays an important role in the gameplay.

DeadCore Redux

This first-person platform game requires a lot of precision! You have to manipulate mechanisms and calculate each jump in order to successfully climb a huge tower. Numerous objects and shortcuts will punctuate this adventure to the summit.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition

Nintendo has decided to bring back its life sim first released in 2020 with a Switch 2 version. New features include 4K resolution, Joy-Con 2 mouse mode, and multiplayer for up to 12 players. The megaphone is a new item that can be used to call out to a villager by name.

Craftlings

Make way for a little strategy game involving resource management. The creatures known as craftlings are as hard-working as they are naive. It is therefore necessary to channel their energy during various activities to prevent them from dying while building their colony.

Kotama and Academy Citadel

  • January 15, 2026 on PC

Here is a new 3D side-scrolling Metroidvania in which a student named Kotama must explore the Academy Citadel and its labyrinth, filled to the brim with strange enemies and charismatic characters.

Brokenlore: Unfollow

  • January 16, 2026 on PS5 and PC

Finally, our selection concludes with a surreal horror game. We play as a victim of harassment who must fight terrifying monsters while shedding light on a dark mystery. The game revolves around the impact of social media on mental health.
