This week’s releases: from December 1 to 7, 2025

December is kicking off with a bang, with some huge releases across all platforms. Whether you’re into brand new games, ports, AAA titles, or indie games, there’s something for everyone in the coming days.

The festivities begin with the highly anticipated Marvel Cosmic Invasion, which offers us an extremely fast-paced beat ’em up featuring the best Marvel superheroes. Still in the new titles section, Metroid Prime 4 will finally be released more than eight long years after its initial announcement. This first-person shooter will take full advantage of the Switch 2’s capabilities. RPG fans, meanwhile, will be delighted to dive into Octopath Traveler 0. This brand new episode takes gameplay mechanics borrowed from the best Japanese role-playing games and dresses them up in a retro style.

This week also features plenty of ports. Rockstar Games’ iconic Red Dead Redemption will be optimized for PS5, Xbox Series, and of course Switch 2. Assassin’s Creed Shadows and Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds will also be released on Nintendo’s latest console. As for Viewfinder, it will be coming to the first Switch. Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders will do the same on PS5. Let’s not forget the big comeback of Guild Wars in a “Reforged” version that will take advantage of modern PC technology.

Finally, DLC will extend the gaming experience on two highly acclaimed titles. These include Destiny 2: Rebels on consoles and PC, and ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN The Forsaken Hollows. This additional content will provide several hours of extra gameplay, major new features, and new areas to discover. This is provided you own the base game and, of course, spend a few extra dollars.

Without further ado, let’s take a look at this week’s biggest releases!
