Sony has just unveiled a new initiative aimed at its most passionate players. The Playerbase will give users the chance to appear in certain games from PlayStation Studios.
This community program is available in the Americas, Europe, Asia, South Africa, and Australia. Registration for The Playerbase are open here . For now, only Gran Turismo 7 is among the eligible games. Once applications have been reviewed, finalists will be invited to participate in a video interview. The winner will then be selected to appear in Polyphony Digital’s racing game.
The lucky winner will receive a special, temporary appearance in the form of a character portrait. They will also help create a custom Fantasy logo and a unique vehicle livery, which will be permanently added to the Showcase menu.
Finally, the scanning session and collaboration with a designer will take place over the course of a day at a studio in Los Angeles. Over time, other PlayStation-owned studios will join The Playerbase.
