Maybe it’s because I’m a writer, or because years of Dungeons & Dragons have rewired my brain, but whenever a fantasy world pulls me in, my imagination immediately drifts away from the main quest. I start wondering about the people in the background: the vendors, the gossipmongers, the scholars whose everyday routines make the magic feel real. The franchise that sparked this curiosity during my younger years is Harry Potter. Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley practically beg you to imagine the lives of the shopkeepers and townsfolk, yet in Hogwarts Legacy, that whimsical slice-of-life fantasy never fully materialized for me.
