The Ubisoft employees vote to strike

Unions representing Ubisoft employees in France have voted unanimously to hold a strike from February 10 to 12, 2026, all to protest recent layoffs and the restructuring of the company.

Shortly after canceling and postponing games, Ubisoft recently announced a major reorganization plan, including studio closures and job cuts, notably up to 200 proposed layoffs at its Paris headquarters, as part of efforts to reduce costs.

The unions also plan to cooperate with international organizations to increase the visibility of their action.
