The Twisted Metal series has been renewed for a third season

Although it didn’t necessarily make a big splash, the second season of Twisted Metal was a real success. Peacock reported that it reached 993 million minutes of viewing time, which has encouraged the broadcaster to renew the adaptation for a third season.

This is excellent news for fans of the PlayStation-produced franchise. However, showrunner Michael Jonathan Smith will be replaced as he has chosen to leave the project. He will be succeeded by writer and director David Reed (The Boys). Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick will remain at the helm as showrunners.

So, it seems we will see actor Anthony Mackie back very soon in the third season of Twisted Metal.
