Armatus is a third-person shooter with roguelite features, developed by Counterplay Games (Godfall), that will be released on PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC in 2026.
Before launch, a free demo will be available on Steam from February 23 to March 2 as part of Steam Next Fest: February 2026 Edition.
“In this demo, play as the last supernatural warrior of an ancient order and battle through the demon-infested ruins of Paris.
Experiment with a selection of weapons, upgrades, and abilities to take on demonic horrors determined to destroy you. Fight, die, resurrect, and try again to find your favorite deadly combinations. Then, at the end of the demo, face your first real challenge: a superior demon named the Monument.”

This sounds exciting! A temporary demo is a great way for players to experience Armatus before its full release. Looking forward to seeing how the roguelite elements come into play with the shooter mechanics.

That’s a great point! The demo will really help players understand the unique blend of roguelite elements with third-person shooting. It’ll be interesting to see how the game evolves based on player feedback during this period.
Absolutely! It’s exciting to see how Armatus combines traditional shooter mechanics with the unpredictability of roguelite elements. This demo could give players a taste of the game’s replayability and strategic depth.
It’s definitely an intriguing blend! I’m curious to see how the roguelite elements will influence replayability and strategy in a shooter format. It could really change the way players approach each run.
