The launch of Battlefield 6 wasn’t without technical issues. There were som extremely long queues and some players were simply unable to enjoy the game.

The latter issue was particularly prevalent on the PC version for the EA App. The Electronic Arts launcher displayed an error message that prevented Battlefield 6 owners from playing. This issue clearly embarrassed the American publisher and drew public criticism from some of the company’s executives.

On X, Vince Zampella, the current CEO of Respawn Entertainment and head of the Battlefield franchise, did not mince his words. He encouraged PC players to request a refund and to go through Steam to repurchase Battlefield 6. Zampella himself admitted to using Valve’s software to enjoy the game created by his teams.

Finally, in another message, Zampella also admitted that Electronic Arts CEO Andrew Wilson was just as upset as he was about the situation.
