The PS5 version of Starfield is riddled with bugs and crashes

Just under three years after its initial release on Xbox Series and PC, Starfield arrived on PS5 last week. Unfortunately, while many were hoping for a sort of Ultimate Edition featuring all updates and DLC, this version suffers from far too many issues.

In fact, players quickly reported major glitches on various forums. Several have also requested refunds from Sony. The culprits are bugs that block progress and repeated crashes.

Yours truly here has personally experienced error messages and instances where the screen freezes, forcing the app to close. All of this on the PS5 Pro. Some users have even tried reinstalling Starfield on their console to fix these issues… without any success.

There’s no doubt that Bethesda Game Studios has its job cut for the coming weeks.
