Developer Red Barrels has launched a limited-time event for its co-op survival horror game The Outlast Trials called Deep Burn. Players who join the event can collect tokens to unlock exclusive rewards from the new limited-time catalog that features new player outfits, a Cell Bundle, Cell items, Night Vision Goggles, and more.
The new limited-time catalog rewards will be available from now until October 7 at 10 AM ET.
Season 4.1 Update Adds Two MK-Challenges
Season 4.1 also introduces two new MK-Challenges for players: Traffick the Product and Disrupt the Neighborhood.
Here’s how Red Barrels describes them:
“In Traffick the Product, players invade the territory of sinister mafioso Franco in order to flood his streets with a new experimental opioid devised by Murkoff, creating lifelong customers and stimulating the local economy.
Meanwhile, Disrupt the Neighborhood aims to break down the barriers that divide us—literally—to encourage intrusion from outsiders. After all, without any fences, we’re all free to be each other’s neighbor. “
More Updates and Improvements
The update also includes a more organized Evidence Documents, allowing players to absorb the Outlast lore introduced by The Outlast Trials since it started. This update also comes with a variety of QoL improvements such as rebalancing of Prime Assets Otto & Arora Kess, as well as some changes to the difficulty curve for Escalation Therapy from levels 1 to 20.

The update for the survival horror co-op game continues, as this isn’t the biggest one added to the game recently, as season 4 started with the introduction of a new Prime Asset, the conjoined killers Otto & Arora Kress.
