The NVIDIA PC app gets 4K recording at 240 FPS with the new beta

NVIDIA has released a beta update for its PC app. Notably, it adds new ShadowPlay recording options with high frame rates.

As a result, owners of RTX 40 and RTX 50 graphics cards with two NVENC encoders can record gameplay in 4K at 240 frames per second. GPUs with a single encoder can record in 1440p at 240 FPS. This means it will no longer be necessary to use third-party software to capture gameplay footage at high frame rates.

To get this beta update, open the NVIDIA app, go to “Settings,” then “About,” and check the box in the “Early Access” section to opt in to receive the beta version or experimental features.
