
Gearbox Software is set to release patch v1.5 for Borderlands 4 this Thursday, March 26. This update aims to improve the game’s performance on PC across all possible configurations.
In a chart published by the studio, we can see the changes between the launch version 1.02 and version 1.5 from March 2026. Thus, at minimum settings (native 1080p), Borderlands 4 will go from an average of 37.32 FPS to 52.79 FPS (+41.5%) thanks to the update. At recommended settings (native 1440p), we’ll see 56.54 FPS instead of 44.89 FPS (+26%). As for the RTX 4080 configuration, performance will improve from 54.96 FPS to 78.43 FPS (+42.7%).
Additionally, work is still underway to reduce the game’s crash rate. Since December, this rate has dropped from 0.63% to 0.38%, according to Gearbox.
