We learned this news on X. This past June 2026 hosted a new Steam Next Fest event, during which a large number of games were available to play for free thanks to demos.
This time around, it was the game BOMBANANA!, developed by Lefto Studio, that managed to get the most attention. We take on the role of a bomb-disposal team made up of three monkeys: one who is blind, one who is deaf, and one who is mute. Their objective is, naturally, to turn their mobile lab into a bomb-defusing operation before the bombs explode, all within a limited time frame and with restricted means of communication. Here are some figures:
- Over 1,000,000 players have added the demo to their library
- Over 675,000 players have played the demo
- More than 230,000 players have added the game to their wishlist
- More than 30,000 concurrent players at peak
The official release is scheduled for August 2026 on Steam.
