The developers of Helldivers 2 at Arrowhead Game Studios have confirmed that they have plans to expand vehicle gameplay in the game in response to player feedback. They are simultaneously working on new content, such as a rogue-lite mode prototype.
Currently, vehicles are limited in scope, but the team is considering adding or bringing back certain vehicles from the first Helldivers and giving some real depth to the system, for example with actions such as reloading or repairing these machines. Nothing is guaranteed at this stage, but the studio is actively exploring these ideas in order to increase the depth and use of vehicles in the game.
