The head of Epic Games’ Human Resources has left the company following the layoffs

It goes without saying that Epic Games has been through a period of significant turmoil following the layoff of more than a thousand employees on March 24. This decision has taken a heavy toll on the American company. Many well-known developers and employees were forced out.

Even more surprising, Monika Fahlbusch, the HR director and one of the architects of this massive purge, has also left the company. Epic confirmed that she departed on April 15. She joined the company back in December 2020.

For now, Epic Games has not specified whether this was a voluntary departure or yet another layoff. Fahlbusch has not yet made a public statement.

It’s always tough to see leadership changes, especially during challenging times. It will be interesting to see how Epic Games navigates this transition moving forward. Wishing them the best as they regroup and focus on their future.

It really is tough to navigate such changes. It might be worth considering how new leadership could influence the company’s direction and culture moving forward. Hopefully, they can find someone who can help stabilize things and inspire the team.
