The Fallout creator rejoins Obsidian

Timothy Cain, leader of the 1997 Fallout project, has just joined Xbox’s Obsidian studio. He also co-directed The Outer Worlds and served as a consultant on its recent sequel. The studio he is joining is currently enjoying a great year, with the release of Avowed, The Outer Worlds 2, and even Grounded 2 in early access.

A video posted on Timothy Cain’s YouTube channel reveals a lot of information, including his “full-time employee status” at Obsidian, but also that he is working on an unannounced project, and according to him, fans won’t be able to guess what it is:

“I’m back at Obsidian. I’m here as a full-time, on-site employee, so not remotely, and I’m no longer a contractor.”

“[…] I can’t talk about the project I’m working on at Obsidian, simply because it’s covered by the NDA. Don’t waste your time guessing, you won’t guess. I would probably say that I’m much less retired now.”
