The Douze Dixièmes studio (Memories in Orbit, Shady Part of Me) closes its doors

Earlier this year, Focus Entertainment’s parent company released its financial results for the last fiscal year. The report showed a nearly 28% drop in revenue, due to a lack of major releases, despite the respectable launch of Absolum.

Following this mixed performance, the publisher ended its partnership with Douze Dixièmes, the studio behind Memories in Orbit and Shady Part of Me, which has since regained its independence. Focus Entertainment will, however, continue to publish these two titles, which have already been released.

Unfortunately, the news is not good. A French journalist published a report in the newspaper [Le Figaro](https://www.lefigaro.fr/secteur/high-tech/il-va-y-avoir-de-la-grosse-casse-alerte-rouge-dans-le-jeu-video-francais-face-aux-fermetures-et-aux-licenciements-en-cascade -20260623) stating that the studio Douze Dixièmes is closing its doors. The information has been confirmed by other journalists.

“There’s going to be major upheaval. It’s a red alert for the French video game industry amid a wave of studio closures and layoffs. […] My in-depth report on Game Camp 2026 is now online. In it, you’ll learn, among other things, about the closure of the Douze Dixièmes studio (MIO).”

For its part, Focus Entertainment isn’t in a great position either, but seems to be looking to the future with more optimism, particularly with the release of titles such as Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Deathmaster, and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3, currently in development at Saber Interactive.
