THE CUBE, SAVE US will shut down its servers on May 8, less than two months after its release

This is yet another live service game going the way of the dodo just a few weeks after its launch. THE CUBE, SAVE US launched on March 18 on PC. It received “mostly negative” reviews on Steam and peaked at just 5,177 concurrent players on Steam.

Consequently, developer XLGAMES has logically decided to shut down the servers for its multiplayer extraction shooter. Service is scheduled to end on May 8, 2026, at 2 a.m. (BST) / 9 p.m. EDT / 6 p.m. PST. The gameโ€™s Discord server will close at the same time.

Refunds for items purchased via Steam will be available starting April 9.
