Poncle is a studio known for creating the excellent and highly addictive Vampire Survivors. Following this success, Luca Galante, the game’s creator, decided to establish Poncle Presents in September 2024. In an interview with GamesRadar, he discussed his ambitions for this publishing arm.
Since its inception a year ago, Poncle Presents has recruited new members. Their goal now is to help other independent studios looking to release their games despite their very low budgets.
“Basically, we got very lucky with Vampire Survivors. The game has been so successful that – we definitely made some mistakes when it comes to putting the game out there, but we learned a lot, and wanted to try to sort of share what we learned with other indies.”
“It was a way to try and give something back to the indie community, share the luck.”
Poncle Presents wants to focus on small teams and has already published two titles. The first, Doonutsaur, is a $5 roguelike brick breaker game created by Kill the Brickman. The second is Berserk or Die, a $4 2D action game from Nao Games.
