The cover art for KINGDOM HEARTS Collection [I–III] has been revised following suspicions of AI usage

A minor controversy is going on for KINGDOM HEARTS Collection [I–III], which is set to be released on Switch 2 on October 8. This compilation includes all the main titles in the series released to date.

Without warning, Square Enix decided to change the game’s cover art. Fans had pointed out inconsistencies and distortions in the illustrations. Some online users speculated that the original image created by Tetsuya Nomura had been run through AI to alter the characters’ positions.

So, without directly addressing these accusations, the Japanese publisher has corrected the issue by releasing a new version of the cover art (image on the right below; the old version is on the left).
