All hype must eventually culminate in some kind of announcement, and thankfully, Rebel Wolves brought more than its fair share for The Blood of Dawnwalker. Alongside a look at the open world and its activities, it finally confirmed a September 3rd release date. But that’s not all, as the developer also revealed the PC requirements.
Regardless of everything else, 16 GB of RAM and 60 GB of free space on an SSD are mandatory. However, at the minimum end, an Intel Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 7 3700K, and either an Nvidia RTX 3050/GTX 1070, an AMD RX Vega 56 or an Intel Arc A580 will be necessary to play at 1080p/30 FPS on Low settings. Native 1080p/60 FPS at High settings requires a Core i5-13600 or a Ryzen 9 7900X and an RTX 5060 or an RX 6800 XT.
Playing at native 1440p and the same frame rate requires the same CPU, but you’ll need an RTX 4070 Ti or an RX 7800 XT. Finally, for the Ultra settings, a Core i5-13600K or Ryzen 9 7950X will be required. However, playing at native 1440p/60 FPS necessitates an RTX 4080 or an RX 7900 XTX, while 4K/60 FPS needs nothing short of an RTX 5090.
If this seems a little heavy, then it’s worth noting that this is all without upscalers or Frame Generation enabled. Nvidia DLSS and AMD FSR will be available at launch, which should help those with lower-powered rigs.
