Superb Baldur’s Gate 3 Update Will Inspire Yet Another Playthrough

With Baldur’s Gate 3 offering tons of replayability options, this latest addition will provide you with yet another excuse to boot up the hit RPG.

Offering multiple classes, sub-classes, dialogue options and quest variations, Baldur’s Gate 3 is designed to have you return time and time again.

Released back in 2023, Baldur’s Gate 3 took the world by storm, meeting critical acclaim and achieving record-breaking awards success.

As a result, it became the first game to win Game of the Year across five different ceremonies and is now widely regarded as one of the best video games of all time.

Praised for its turn-based combat, Dungeons & Dragons inspired worldbuilding, fully fleshed-out characters, and its writing, it is no wonder that many players still return to Baldur’s Gate 3 over two years on from release.

However, it is also worth noting that its modding community is yet another reason why Baldur’s Gate 3 still maintains its popularity as the dedicated creators work tirelessly to add new and exciting content to the Larian Studios’ RPG.

Baldur’s Gate 3/The Wailing Bard on Nexus Mods

That is what The Wailing Bard over on Nexus Mods has achieved with their brand-new mod titled The Sylvan Warden.

The Sylvan Warden is a free-to-download mod which introduces a Druidic Barbarian sub-class to Baldur’s Gate 3.

ā€œThe Sylvan Warden acts as steward and protector over the natural realm,ā€ the description reads.

ā€œTheir connection with nature allows them to alternate between rages and calm states of serenity, wherein they can cast Druidic magic.ā€

Combining the serenity and magic of the Druid class with the rage only a Barbarian is capable of, this sub-class will combine the two for those looking for a new take on each of the main classes.

What does this mod include?

Adapted from a sub-class by creator Benjamin Huffman, this mod will see your character wield an alternative form of Rage known as ā€˜Quietude’.

In this calm state of mind, they won’t gain the Barbarian powers of being able to gain melee buffs and resistances but they will still switch between melee might and druidic magic to cast enemies down.

As this class levels up, switching between these states will be a lot less restricted and you will be able to enter into battle in whichever form you choose.

We all know what it is like to go from calm to angry in 0.5 seconds and this mod manages to capture it in a unique Baldur’s Gate 3 style.

So if you play Baldur’s Gate 3 on PC and want another excuse to start up yet another playthrough, let The Sylvan Warden be your inspiration this time around.
