Steam Just Dropped 7 New Free Games To Download Now

Another batch of free games have just been added to Steam over the weekend, all yours for the taking.

There isn’t really any other gaming platform out there that does free games like how Steam does.

Sure, you may find that the quality varies. But if you search hard enough, there are some interesting free experiences here that are worth your time if you don’t have much of a gaming budget.

New Free Steam Games Available For 11 January

As we regularly report on free games that are available on Steam, here’s a fresh batch of seven new free games you can download on the platform.

  • LAVALAMP, a 3D first-person walking simulator with a side of exploration/interaction with the environment. It’s got rather psychedelic visuals and interesting storytelling.
  • Why? – Chapter 1, a horror game where you are trapped inside a magical mansion where a series of dreadful events took place. A relentless monster is hunting you down, and you must find a way to survive.
  • Rogue Masters, a 6 player co-op horde survival game with souls-like combat and extensive character customization.
  • Ascendancy, a battle simulator where a hundred computer-controlled characters with random stats are dropped into an arena and must fight it out using scattered weapons and equipment.
  • Space Station: Beyond, a space sim game where you play as a variety of creatures or characters and try to survive either maintaining or attacking a space station while everything that can go wrong has already gone wrong.
  • Dreadmyst, a Runescape-style old school RPG where you choose from four playable classes, customise your stats and abilities, and then slaughter the aberrations plaguing a cursed land.
  • Run Coffee Run, a fast-paced FPS platformer where staying awake is the challenge. Unlock movement upgrades, explore a compact island, drink coffee to delay sleep, and find the fastest path to escape before you collapse.

If you’d like to play any of the free games on offer here, all you need to do is simply head to their respective Steam store page and hit Play Game beneath the screenshots. This will add them to your library, allowing you to play them whenever you want, even if the games get removed from Steam.

Of course, be sure to check out the minimum and recommended system requirements before installing.

If your machine doesn’t meet those requirements, you may experience bugs, performance lag, and crashes if you try to play them.
