Steam Drops Slick New Free Game With 100 Percent Positive Reviews

Steam Drops Slick New Free Game With 100 Percent Positive Reviews

Steam users have countless freebies to enjoy right now, and here’s one we’d like to highlight.

There are a lot of games worth playing at the moment, and plenty more yet to come as we round out 2025.

Hollow Knight: Silksong is still crushing it as players finally wrap up their playthroughs, Ghost Of Yōtei is right around the corner and Game Of The Year contenders like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 retain their popularity.

The AAA offering has been great this year and 2026 is going to give us plenty more, mainly GTA VI.

There’s still a case to be made for indie games though. AAA titles shouldn’t get all the attention, as sometimes it’s nice to highlight a lesser known game in the hopes it gets the attention it deserves.

That’s what we’re doing with LazerGrrl, a free-to-play game found on Steam.

The game’s description says: “LazerGrrl is a fast-paced PVP strategy game. It combines the fury of Bomberman with the strategic depth of an RTS. Find the right balance between building your own base and blasting your opponent’s.”

It’s colourful, competitive, and fills the void Bomberman left behind, as his latest releases have been few and far between, as well as varying in terms of quality.

For those that need to be convinced more check out the gameplay trailer found on its Steam page.

Additionally you can check out some of the reviews left by players who’ve already given the game a go. Currently the game is sitting on 17 reviews that have given it a Positive rating. You can see what people are saying about the game below.

“Great fun. Tactics managing your income to power your attack lazers and blocking the enemies. Player blocks can only be picked up and moved by the player who owns them, so you can block people in, if done right. There is no online PVP, yet, it seems … Great fun local-player though!”

“Been waiting for this game to come to steam for years. The game-play and strategy are very deep. If this gets good development and a player-base then it could be great.”

“Most underrated game of all time 1000% 10/10 5/5 stars would recommend.”

At the moment the main drawback is no online multiplayer, but with a few more players I’m sure that’ll get added eventually.
