Stardew Valley Very Expanded is an Absolute Beast

Stardew Valley Very Expanded is an Absolute Beast

If you’ve played through Stardew Valley enough times that you feel like you know Pelican Town like the back of your hand, then it may be time for you to check out the “VERY” expanded version of ConcernedApe’s beloved farming sim.

I’ve finished so many playthroughs of Stardew Valley that I’m pretty sure I could do a blindfolded playthrough of the game. If I close my eyes and think real hard, I can see a perfect one-to-one recreation of Pelican Town’s map in my head.

If you can relate, then you should check out the latest version of one of the game’s most beloved overhauls, but be warned; once you try it, there’s no going back to the main game without it.

Stardew Valley VERY Expanded is a mod collection from author JennaJuffuffles, which contains expansions from some of Stardew Valley’s most popular mods, including Stardew Valley Expanded, Ridgeside Village, East Scarp, and Sword & Sorcery.

The aim of the collection is simple. JennaJuffuffles has essentially collated mods that add new locations to Stardew Valley’s map, but in a way that forces each mod to play nice with one another (so that you don’t run into any issues installing them all at once).

It’s all just new locations however, as the mod collection also contains more than 50 new NPCs, UI improvements, visual enhancements, and a bunch of quality of life additions like the NPC Map Locations mod.

Here’s what the folks over on Nexus have to say about the collection.

“SVE is really amazing and feel like vanilla content. You can argue that the extra dialogues or changes he made to the story isn’t fully what CA wanted. But this is my 4th playthrough and it felt new and good enough. Haven’t experienced any late game content so far, don’t know if the quality holds”, commented user MrPwney.

“Ridgeside feels overwhelming at first. But I took it slow, and it’s nicely coming all together with good stories and surprises. Art style is a bit beneath SVE, but overall a great extra content when you know Pelican Town too much.”

“This Collection of Mods is what made me buy a yearly subscription to Vortex… Thank you very much”, replied user TheLoneWanderer77.

For those of you who don’t enjoy spending hours browsing through Nexus in a bid to craft the perfect modlist, this collection is the perfect alternative.

Plus, even though the mod collection is a couple of years old at this point, JennaJuffuffles is still hard at work updating it, with a new version dropping less than a month ago.

Just don’t blame me if downloading this makes it difficult to return to the vanilla version of the game…
