Stardew Valley Meets Cyberpunk 2077 in New RPG You Can Try Free

If, for some reason, you’ve been dreaming of a game that is a mix of Stardew Valley and Cyberpunk 2077, then we might just have the RPG for you.

To be fair, if you have actually been dreaming of a game that is a mix of Stardew Valley and Cyberpunk 2077, then you should really be writing those kinds of ideas down, because that sounds like an awesome concept. But I digress.

While both share some RPG elements, Stardew Valley and Cyberpunk 2077 are two very different games.

For example, Stardew Valley, developed by ConcernedApe, was originally released in 2016, before being ported to multiple platforms, and is the ultimate indie darling, with all the chill farming vibes that any zen gamer could ever want.

As for Cyberpunk 2077, developed by CD Projekt RED, this is a massive AAA first-person RPG that’s filled with high-octane action and takes place in the seedy world of Night City, where crime does pay. Unless you get killed, then it’s a lot of trouble for nothing.

So what is this fantastic concept of a game that blends Stardew Valley and Cyberpunk 2077, I hear you ask? That game in question is developed and published by Bit66 called Bots & Mods.

“In Bots & Mods, you run a robot workshop in the city of Danopolis. In this atmospheric pixel art game, you build components to repair or upgrade your customers’ robots,” reads the synopsis of the game on Steam.

“Gather all the resources by mining below the city and data in your virtual environment around you. Meet the people of the city, be it a regular citizen, a gang member or a corporate officer, experience a cyberpunk story.”

Judging by its gameplay trailers, it seems that Bots & Mods oozes charm, and if you’re into cute indie sim RPGs, then this might just be your cup of tea.

“The core gameplay demo is a great way to debut the features of the game,” said addiecrafty, in the comments section on Bit66’s YouTube channel, with lewiswells6763, adding, “Looks good!”

While Bots & Mods does not have a release date at the time of writing, other than a tentative 2025 release window, you can download and play its free demo today via Steam.

Who knows, perhaps you might be pleasantly surprised after playing the demo? Be sure to wishlist Bots & Mods on Steam to be notified of its launch.
