Stardew Valley Gets Massive Free Expansion With 60+ Quests Available Now

Stardew Valley players can now download a massive expansion for the game, and it’s completely free to access.

With over ten years of updates, mods, and fan-made content, Stardew Valley players have been eating well with plenty of new stuff to dig into.

It looks like Eric ā€˜ConcernedApe’ Barone isn’t done with the game yet either, promising a new 1.7 update and more content coming further down the line.

‘Pelican Town Expanded’ is one mod which will keep you going while you wait for the 1.7 update, introducing a lot of new NPC dialogue, quests, heart events, and more.

It’s not to be confused with Stardew Valley Expanded, which is a different expansion. Though both achieve a similar goal of massively extending the content available to you in Stardew Valley.

‘Pelican Town Expanded’ is an all-in-one mod that combines various creations by modder LucyTheDove.

In total, you’re getting expanded interactions with six of the game’s NPCs. The affected NPCs in question are Willy, Elliott, Evelyn, George, Penny, and Pam, each getting hundreds of new dialogue lines.

This extends to over 60 new quests which expand their stories, with 40 new letters to discover, which are all designed to blend naturally into vanilla gameplay.

The mod also adds 14 new unique heart events for any romance substories, and they are each fully compatible with existing dialogue and quest mods.

Stardew Valley‘s ‘Pelican Town Expanded’ Mod Fleshes Out Some Of The Game’s Most Underrated NPCs

As LucyTheDove puts it, the mod is ā€œbalanced for a smooth, lore-friendly experience,ā€ and should be compatible with a wide range of other mods for Stardew Valley.

Since the mod is mainly a compilation of a bunch of different mods for the game, if there are any aspects of it that you don’t want to have in your next playthrough, you can always just go ahead and download individual mods instead from LucyTheDove’s profile on Nexus Mods.

Either way, ‘Pelican Town Expanded’ works well with most other mods for the game. The list of compatible mods includes Stardew Valley Expanded, Canon-Friendly Dialogue Expansion, and Diverse Stardew Valley.

It should mean that if you’re using a lot of other mods for the game, such as those included on our best Stardew Valley mods list, then you’ll have an easy time getting ‘Pelican Town Expanded’up and running.

However, once you start adding in mods which affect your interactions with the aforementioned villagers above, then you might start running into problems. So, as always, proceed with caution if installing ‘Pelican Town Expanded’.

You can download ‘Pelican Town Expanded’ now from the Stardew Valley page on Nexus Mods.
