The ongoing beef between Stardew Valley’s Pierre and Morris is a major cause of contention in the hit farming sim but this brand-new release will see the warring pair finally set their differences aside.
Released back in 2016 and soon to be celebrating its ten-year anniversary, Stardew Valley has perhaps cemented itself as the best farming simulation game of all time.
Seeing players take on a rundown farm and turn it into a bustling agricultural hub, players all across the world fell in love with the one-man-show game and its love has not dwindled over the past few years.
That is why its modding community is still active when it comes to finding new and unique ways to add new content to Stardew Valley and this time, creator kcspace has found a way to bring love to two warring men.
Across the Aisle is a brand-new mod for Stardew Valley which will see long-term rivals Pierre and Morris meet after a late night argument.
Fans of Stardew Valley will know that Pierre and Morris become rivals due to their opposing beliefs on how a store should be run.
Pierre, who runs the general store believes that small-town businesses are the way forward whilst Morris, who owns the JojaMart in Pelican Town represents the corporate mega-corporation way of life.
As a result, Pierre feels threatened by Morris and feels as though he is stealing his customers.
So it is perhaps no surprise that the two men find themselves occasionally butting heads with the player even able to stumble across them having an argument or two.
With some players even having theories that Pierre and Morris were one-time lovers, it makes sense that Across the Aisle will bring them back together.
This new mod adds 14 rival heart events and follows Pierre as he juggles co-parenting with co-ownership of a business as love comes after divorce and sees the two men try again.
“Love after divorce isn’t easy, especially when you’re falling for your sworn enemy,” the mod’s tagline reads.
Adding an enemies-to-lovers storyline to Stardew Valley, this mod adds over 50 new lines of dialogue and an updated Community Centre and players will even get to see Caroline navigate life as a divorced woman and Abigail having to come to terms with her dad’s new boyfriend.
Across the Aisle is a free-to-download mod for those who own Stardew Valley on PC so if you want to bring the two warring shopkeepers together, make sure to grab this exciting new release.
