Fans of the galaxy, far, far away, will be hoping that the next Star Wars Jedi game could be revealed at The Game Awards, or perhaps it could be another long-awaited title.
As much as we love this movie franchise from the mind of George Lucas, it has not always been sunshine and roses. For every original trilogy, we have a prequel trilogy. I suppose in Star Wars terms, itās a way of balancing the Force.
The same can be said of its video game offerings. Weāve had some absolute bangers over the years, such as Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Star Wars Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
Star Wars Has Been Up And Down
However, weāve had some video games that we wish never existed, namely, Kinect Star Wars, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II and the early version of Star Wars Battlefront IIās multiplayer.
Though it should be stated that the multiplayer of Star Wars Battlefront II today is in a much better state, and itās getting the love it should have had at launch. Itās even garnered some impressive concurrent player numbers, which isn’t too shabby for a game that was released eight years ago.
Next week, itās the annual The Game Awards show, where new games are revealed, updates on existing titles are provided, and in between all of that and the commercials, we get the odd game award too.
Leading up to the big day, thereās always a ton of speculation as to what will or wonāt be revealed at The Game Awards, and the 2025 ceremony is no exception. One game that fans will be marking their calendars for is the next entry in the Star Wars Jedi series starring Cal Kestis, played by Cameron Monaghan.
As much as I love Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Iād love to finally see the troubled Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake that was announced in 2021.
However, following my interview with Jennifer Hale, who played Bastile Shan in the original BioWare game and the Obsidian Entertainment sequel, Iām not feeling too optimistic about that prospect.
There is also a chance that weāll see the Star Wars game from Quantic Dream, the studio behind Heavy Rain and Detroit: Become Human.
Yet, according to the Twitter user, Kurakasis, a Star Wars announcement is ācoming very soonā, but it has nothing to do with Star Wars: Eclipse (Quantic Dream) or the turn-based strategy game from Respawn Entertainment, Star Wars: Zero Company.
Which Star Wars Will Be At The Game Awards?
Excluding the Quantic Dreams and new Respawn Entertainment title, that might leave the long-awaited Knights of the Old Republic remake or a Star Wars Jedi sequel. That being said, it could quite easily be something that hasn’t been revealed yet. Only time will tell.
Of course, while something Star Wars related may be shown at The Game Awards next week, itās also very likely that nothing will happen at all. So we should always take unconfirmed rumours with a pinch of salt until proven otherwise.
Iāll guess weāll find out either way when The Game Awards take place on Thursday, 11 December 2025.

Exciting times ahead for Star Wars fans! The anticipation for the next Jedi game is definitely building. It’s always thrilling to see what new adventures await in that beloved galaxy.
