Star Ocean: The Second Story R is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 this week without any prior notice. Released in November 2023, the Square Enix RPG is available for €49.99 on the eShop.
The Japanese publisher promises an “even more beautiful” Switch 2 version for the second installment in its franchise. Unfortunately, this port does not include an upgrade for owners of the Switch version. Worst of all, save data is not transferable either.
