Until now, Capcom’s marketing about Resident Evil Requiem has been firmly focused on horror. However, insider Dusk Golem has mentioned on X a more pronounced action section with another playable character.
According to these new rumors, the Leon Kennedy segments will take place in 2020, while those featuring Grace Ashcroft will take place eight years later. This means that the sequences controlled by Leon will be more action-oriented. However, the horror element will remain much more prominent than in Resident Evil 4, for example. There will also be fewer cheesy elements.
Of course, all of this remains to be confirmed. Resident Evil Requiem will be released on February 27, 2026.
