In little under a month, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered will already be celebrating its first anniversary. While this updated version of the legendary 2006 action-RPG has been well-received, some bugs from the original remain.
During a roundtable discussion hosted by GamesRadar+, Creative Director Todd Howard addressed this issue. He specifically admitted that the voice acting glitches were intentionally left in the remaster.
“So, you know what, itโs fine. I love voice acting bloopers. That kind of thing? Yeah, just let it go. Itโs fine. Itโs part of the gameโs charm.”
For example, the dialogue with Tandilwe, an Altmer from the Imperial City, has become famous. Right in the middle of a sentence, the voice actress exclaims: “Wait a minute, let me do that again.” The line was left as is in the original game and in Oblivion Remastered.

Itโs exciting to see Oblivion Remastered approaching its release! The decision to keep some dialogue bugs adds a unique touch to the experience. Looking forward to reliving those classic moments!
