Some dialogue bugs were intentionally left in Oblivion Remastered

In little under a month, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered will already be celebrating its first anniversary. While this updated version of the legendary 2006 action-RPG has been well-received, some bugs from the original remain.

During a roundtable discussion hosted by GamesRadar+, Creative Director Todd Howard addressed this issue. He specifically admitted that the voice acting glitches were intentionally left in the remaster.

“So, you know what, itโ€™s fine. I love voice acting bloopers. That kind of thing? Yeah, just let it go. Itโ€™s fine. Itโ€™s part of the gameโ€™s charm.”

For example, the dialogue with Tandilwe, an Altmer from the Imperial City, has become famous. Right in the middle of a sentence, the voice actress exclaims: “Wait a minute, let me do that again.” The line was left as is in the original game and in Oblivion Remastered.
