Skyrim Gets Hefty Update With Major Stardew Valley Vibes

Some players may not know that alongside fighting dragons and becoming a werewolf, you can also take some time away and become a farmer in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

Available after purchasing The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition or paying for access to the Creation Club content, travelling to Goldenhills Plantation in-game will see you be able to begin The Quiet Undead quest.

Once completing the quest, you will gain access to the plantation and it is here that you will be able to begin your farming journey.

After planting some crops and beginning the management of your farm, you will be able to hire a steward and it is then that your farm will truly begin to take shape.

However, for Nexus Mods user GTheGenerous, they feel as though more life needs to be breathed into the farming elements of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

As a result, they have created the Voiced Narrative – Farming mod for the hit Bethesda RPG.

Voiced Narrative – Farming aims to improve the narrative of the farming aspect of the Creation Club by introducing new voiced dialogue.

“Farming is a straightforward add-on when it comes to gameplay,” GTheGenerous explained in the mod’s description.

“However, it also comes with a short quest featuring an NPC line that feels out of place in context.

I also felt the farm workers could use a bit of personality to better reflect the mundane life of a farmer.”

To help combat these issues, the modder has worked to make farming in Skyrim “a bit more immersive and colourful”.

They have achieved this by adding random greeting dialogue from your overseer and farmhands at Goldenhills Plantation.

By adding new voice lines that were written with “careful consideration of existing lore” with the help of ElevenLabs, each was handpicked to be the most natural-sounding and with the right expression for each area of context.

A trailer has been released which shows the Voiced Narrative – Farming mod in action and it is clear to see that a few simple tweaks has breathed a whole lot of life into this Skyrim side content.

This is not the first time that GTheGenerous has worked to add more voiced dialogue to The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

For example, they have brought dialogue to Bloodchill Manor, Redguard Elite Armaments, and even Fishing, all Creation Club areas that could do with a touch more love.

Better yet, they are all free to download and add to The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on PC so don’t miss out on this simple yet effective new content.
