Resident Evil is coming back to theaters in September 2026 with a new film directed by Zach Cregger that’s currently being shot in Europe.

Fans have shared photos taken in Prague, Czech Republic on social media. They show a reproduction of the streets of the fictional city of Raccoon City covered in snow. It seems several spectacular action scenes combining shootouts, explosions, and car stunts were reportedly filmed there.

In previous statements, Cregger promised that the film would remain faithful to the video games, while telling a rather different story.
