Several collaborations for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 have reportedly been cancelled due to player feedback

For several games now, the Call of Duty series has been criticized for its questionable partnerships aimed at producing more and more skins for players to purchase. Something that has only intensified with Black Ops 6.

Players have taken a stand and decided to oppose future collaborations deemed too far-fetched in relation to the Call of Duty universe. Figures? These complaints have clearly been heard! In an interview, Yale Miller, production director at Treyarch, announced that some partnerships planned for Black Ops 7 have ultimately been canceled.

“There are opportunities that we have had lined up that, after some of our conversations, we straight up turned down. Big, big brands, big things, and we’re like, no. We’re not gonna do that because it just doesn’t fit.”

Miller clarified that his teams prefer to focus on skins that do belong in the Call of Duty universe.
