Secret Lair x MTG Spider-Man Superdrop Is Here, Unmasking Venom, Villainy and Heroics

Nearly the entire MTG Spider-Man Universes Beyond set has been revealed since PAX West 2025. Looking to prepare for launch, Wizards of the Coast has torn the mask off the Secret Lair Superdrop featuring Spider-Man and his villainous adversaries.

Since PAX West 2025 uncorked many of the main card designs and mechanics from the main MTG Spider-Man Universes Beyond, Wizards of the Coast still has a few more surprises in store for fans of the Queens-based hero. Secret Lair is WOTC’s premium service that allows fans to purchase highly sought, specialized treatments for upcoming sets.

Like Sonic the Hedgehog and Monty Python and the Holy Grail: Vol. 1 & 2 before it, MTG Spider-Man‘s upcoming Secret Lair pulls out all the stops on notable reprints full of Marvel’s Spider-Man flavour. While the main set features iconic artwork from both the comics and Magic: The Gathering artists, these Secret Lair treatments are exclusive to the Superdrop, and can’t be found anywhere else.

Previously, Secret Lair x Marvel’s Spider-Man: Daily Bugle Breaking News was revealed, showcasing Daily Bugle headlines, MTG reprints, and Jonah Jamison flavour text casting doubt on Spider-Man‘s true intentions. In the comics, these headlines can be checked out in the morning paper, but in MTG, fans can check out the art below in full MTG form.

This entire set will be a part of the Secret Lair x Marvel’s Spider-Man Superdrop as an entire bundle, or fans can grab the headlines by themselves for $29.99 in non-foil, and $39.99 in Rainbow Foil treatments. The Daily Bugle Breaking News drop is only the tip of the iceberg, there are four other full sets of MTG Spider-Man reprints that are bound to channel fan’s inner comic book fan.

Secret Lair x Marvel’s Spider-Man: Heroic Deeds

While WOTC has been laser-focused on the villainous side of Spider-Man, the Heroic Deeds drop adds heroic artwork to existing MTG cards. Not only does each card reprint have artwork reminiscent of Spider-Man, each comes equipped with flavour text pulled straight from the comics, helping comic fans immerse in the Universes Beyond of Marvel’s Spider-Man. Pricing and set information can be found below.

  • 1x Ephemerate
  • 1x Three Visits
  • 1x Lightning Greaves
  • 1x Sol Ring
  • 1x Command Tower

While the set will also be included in the Superdrop, this Heroic Deeds collection can be purchased separately for $29.99 in non-foil, and $39.99 in rainbow foil.

Secret Lair x Marvel’s Spider-Man: Villainous Plots

Almost mirroring the previous Heroic Deeds drop, Villainous Plots brings three of the same reprints to the tabletop of MTG with villain flavoured Lightning Greaves, Sol Ring, and Command Tower reprints. With Villainous Plots however, instead of Three Visits and Ephemerate, the more dastardly flavoured Deadly Dispute and Go for the Throat have been inserted featuring the villains Lizard and Black Cat.

  • 1x Deadly Dispute
  • 1x Go for the Throat
  • 1x Lightning Greaves
  • 1x Sol Ring
  • 1x Command Tower

Like every other drop in the set, Villainous Plots can be purchased as part of the Superdrop as a bundle, or separately in non-foil for $29.99, and rainbow foil for $39.99.

Secret Lair x Marvel’s Spider-Man: Mana Symbiote

Previous Secret Lair treatments have borrowed from former MTG set treatments to both give fans a hit of nostalgia (like with Dominaria United showcase Planeswalkers), so Marvel’s Spider-Man has borrowed from the annals of Magic: The Gathering history, and recruited artist Pedro Potier to craft raised foil treatments for basic lands in Venom flavour. Pedro Potier previously helped with Phyrexia: All Will Be One Oil Slick treatments, and Magic: The Gathering recruited the artist once more to bring these Venomous lands to tabletops everywhere. Each bundle comes with:

  • 2x Plains
  • 2x Island
  • 2x Swamp
  • 2x Mountain
  • 2x Forest

This specialized Secret Lair drop only comes in raised foil treatments, and can be purchased as part of the Spider-Man Superdrop or separately for $59.99.

Secret Lair x Marvel’s Spider-Man: Venom Unleashed (Colours)

The last two Secret Lair x Marvel’s Spider-Man drops cater to the anti-hero symbiote, Venom. While the reprints feature artwork that leans more into Venom’s villainous side, MTG included two variant colourways to the set to also embrace original comic origins. This set can come in full coloured artwork like other MTG cards, or comic fans can grab the inked versions to show off their comic book fandom.

  • 1x Damnation
  • 1x Dark Ritual
  • 1x Peer into the Abyss
  • 1x Surgical Extraction
  • 1x Tendrils of Agony

The non-foils can be purchased separately from the Spider-Man Superdrop for $29.99, or in rainbow foil for $39.99.

Secret Lair x Marvel’s Spider-Man: Venom Unleashed (Inks)

  • 1x Damnation
  • 1x Dark Ritual
  • 1x Peer into the Abyss
  • 1x Surgical Extraction
  • 1x Tendrils of Agony

The just inked variants of the Venom Unleashed Secret Lair drop can be purchased in non-foil for $29.99, or in rainbow foil for $39.99.
