Saros has been caught up in a disinformation campaign related to its storyline

The new PS5 exclusive developed by Housemarque has found itself at the center of a controversy that is, however, unfounded. Saros, which was released on April 30, had been criticized for the supposed conclusion of its story.

An AI-generated image had been circulating on social media. It depicted a lesbian relationship between Nitya and Kayla, two female characters in the game. The former is the wife of Arjun, the hero of Saros, and the latter is a member of his crew. On X, the account @pirat_nation described it as « a plot in which a cuckolded man is betrayed and left by his wife for a lesbian ».

Except that none of this is true. As we mentioned earlier, the image was created using artificial intelligence. The two women never cross paths during the course of the story. Furthermore, the story being told is also largely inaccurate. We obviously won’t spoil it to avoid ruining the fun for those who are currently immersed in Saros.

It’s always interesting to see how a game’s storyline can spark such strong reactions. The disinformation aspect adds a unique twist to the conversation around Saros. Looking forward to seeing how this unfolds!
