If we are to believe recent statements, God of War: Laufey has been in the oven for a long time. Deborah Ann Woll, who plays Faye in this installment, recently gave an interview to discuss the PS5 exclusive.
During the interview, the American actress made a surprising revelation. She revealed that God of War Laufey was first pitched to her nearly 10 years ago.
“Oh my God, I can’t tell you. I still pinch myself. You know, again, I’ve known about this for nearly ten years, and I haven’t been able to talk about it.
[…] When Cory (Barlog, the game’s director) brought me in to talk about doing Ragnarök and show me the 2018 game, he already had a poster for the Laufey game with me and a cube. A cube that’s been there since the beginning. It’s deeply a part of the lore.”
The actress also noted that the story of this new installment will unfold alongside that of God of War (2018). Laufey will answer all the questions surrounding the Norse saga, expand on its events, and allow us to learn more about the overall plot.
