Microsoft and Asus have released a patch for ROG Xbox Ally devices. This system update delivers lasting improvements to the gaming experience.
As a result, performance is now enhanced when the portable console is connected to a TV or monitor (similar to the Switch). Once the ROG Xbox Ally is connected to a monitor, a session « will more closely resemble, in terms of appearance, feel, and gameplay, the gaming experience via an Xbox console ».
For example, the console’s screen will automatically turn off when it is connected to a TV. Resolution and refresh rate will then be fully optimized. A new widget will allow you to quickly adjust these settings.
Add to that the automatic deactivation of the ROG Xbox Ally’s controls when a controller is connected to the device. Audio has also been improved thanks to Bluetooth LE Audio technology, as have the vibrations for a more precise haptic experience.
