Resident Evil Veronica is set to launch in 2027 on PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC. A stunning trailer was released at Summer Game Fest last week.
Now, we hear from Yoshiaki Hirabayashi through his responses to journalists during a Q&A session. The remake’s producer specifically addressed the adaptation of this iconic title, which was originally released on the Dreamcast in 2000. We can certainly expect a great many changes.
While Hirabayashi stated that the story will primarily focus on Claire Redfield, he also added that many scenes will be significantly altered.
“We’re not cutting scenes; we’re simply reorganizing them. Expect a lot of things to be changed and reimagined.”
Furthermore, Hirabayashi revealed that Resident Evil Veronica will exclusively use a third-person perspective. Finally, the storyline is expected to remain largely unchanged from the original title.
