Resident Evil Showcase Will “Descend Even Deeper” Into Resident Evil Requiem in Early 2026

The Road to Requiem, or at least Resident Evil Requiem, has officially begun. Pre-orders are live for the next title in the legendary survival horror series, but for those lost on the goings-on till now, you’re in luck. Capcom has released a nearly 11-minute-long video outlining the story of the franchise till now. Check it out below.

If you need any more convincing, it’s narrated by Maggie Robertson, who brought Lady Dimitrescu from Resident Evil Village to life in stunning fashion. No sign of Leon S. Kennedy, long-rumored to be a protagonist alongside Grace Ashcroft, but there’s still time. In fact, he could be revealed in the upcoming Resident Evil Showcase, which promises to “descend even deeper” into “all things” Resident Evil Requiem.

Thus far, we know that the boss battles are more akin to Resident Evil 1 and 2 in that players must explore their surroundings and overcome “obstacles” with their wits. Producer Masato Kumazawa also promised that long-time fans would get more out of the experience than newcomers, but the latter would still enjoy it “100 percent” without doing their homework. Alternatively, you could do your homework and watch the story recap below.

Launching on February 27th, 2026, Resident Evil Requiem will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2 for $69.99.
