Leon S. Kennedy and Grace Ashcroft have been adapted into cakes, as Resident Evil Requiem hits another impressive sales milestone.

Resident Evil Requiem is already the fastest-selling game in the series, and its sales are showing no signs of slowing down, two months after its initial released.

Capcom’s survival horror sequel surpassed six million units sold in March, less than a month after it launched on February 27, but it’s now shifted another million as of April 24, 2026.

As shared by director Koshi Nakanishi on Instagram, Resident Evil Requiem has now sold over seven million copies. More importantly though, Capcom celebrated the milestone with two giant cakes based on protagonists Leon S. Kennedy and Grace Ashcroft.

We’re not exactly Paul Hollywood, but the cakes are impressively detailed. The Leon cake sports black icing and comes with a hatchet biscuit topper, while the Grace cake, covered in white icing and blood-like decorations, has a zombie hand emerging from the base tier.

‘Welcome to 7m Leon!’ reads the text on one cake, while the other has a similar message for Grace.

Based on his other videos on his Instagram Stories, it seems like The Game Awards host Geoff Keighley attended the celebratory bash too.

Capcom is set to roll out more content for Resident Evil Requiem soon. As announced earlier this year, a ‘mini-game’ will be added sometime in May, which is expected to be The Mercenaries survival mode seen in previous games.

As featured in Resident Evil 4 remake, The Mercenaries is a mode where you fight escalating hordes of zombies and rack up points against a time limit. In past versions, you could control characters who aren’t otherwise playable in the main game.

Beyond that, the developer is also working on story DLC, but Nakanishi said in March that it will ‘take some time’ – which might mean not until 2027.

It’s unclear what character will lead the story DLC, but early rumours suggest Leon will be a central focus, although there’s also been rumours of Ada and Alyssa Ashcroft, Grace’s mother.
